07 — ServiceStrengths-Based Coaching

“What if, instead of asking ‘What's wrong with me?’, we started with ‘What's already right with me?’”

We often spend our lives focusing on what we need to improve.

  1. DISCOVER

    Understand your unique strengths profile.

Key strengths • What comes naturally

  2. UNDERSTAND

Explore how your strengths show up.

Underuse • Overuse • Everyday life

  3. LEVERAGE

Learn to intentionally use your strengths.

    Real-life situations • Challenges

  4. INTEGRATE

Bring your learning into everyday life.

    Reflection • Mindfulness • Strengths-based practices

But Positive Psychology asks us to look at another part of the picture:

What are your strengths?

As a Master of Applied Positive Psychology and Strengths-Based Coach, I use evidence-informed strengths approaches to help people understand what they naturally bring to their work, relationships, studies and lives.

Using tools such as VIA Character Strengths and Strengths Profile, we explore:

  • Your key strengths
  • What comes naturally to you
  • What energises you
  • How your strengths show up in everyday life
  • Which strengths you may be underusing
  • Which strengths you may be overusing
  • How your strengths can help you navigate challenges

Because a strength can become unhelpful when it is used too much, too little or in the wrong context.

I am enough | Flourish®

पूर्ण (PŪRṆA)

Wholeness |Fullness |Completeness

It is rooted in the belief that you are not broken, you do not need fixing, and you already carry within you many of the resources you need to navigate life.

Framework

Purna — You are already whole.

At the heart of my work is Purna, a Sanskrit concept that speaks to wholeness and completeness.

Across my work, I bring together Applied Positive Psychology, Positive Education, strengths-based approaches, CBT-informed coaching, neuroscience, mindfulness and self-compassion.

My role is not to tell people who they should become. It is to create spaces where they can pause, understand themselves more deeply, reconnect with their strengths, develop resilience and discover their own ways forward.

PURNA is my way of bringing the science, the tools and the human experience together. It is to help you develop the clarity, confidence and self-trust to make choices that feel more aligned with who you are and what matters to you.

The PURNA Approach

My work is guided by five interconnected principles:

  1. P — Presence

Creating space to slow down, notice and become more aware of what is happening within and around us.

  2. U — Understanding

Understanding our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, strengths, relationships and the mental models through which we experience life.

  3. R — Resilience

Developing the capacity to navigate challenges, adapt to change and move forward without needing life to be free from difficulty.

  4. N — Nurturing

Cultivating self-compassion, connection, rest, strengths and practices that nourish our wellbeing.

  5. A — Agency

Moving from awareness to choice by recognising your values, resources and the actions available to you.

  1. Presence

  2. Understanding

  3. Resilience

  4. Nurture

  5. Agency

Whether I am working one-to-one, with parents, students, educators, women, older adults or whole communities, the intention remains the same:

To help people move from simply coping with life to developing the awareness, resources and connection that allow them to flourish.

Purna is not a formula.

It is a way of approaching people with curiosity, compassion and respect for their own resourcefulness.
